French pâtissier Tipiak launches Vegan Cocktail Selection for UK food service

French pâtissier Tipiak has unveiled a luxury Vegan Cocktail Selection for food service customers in the UK.

Launching exclusively in the UK in response to increasing consumer demand for plant-based products, the Vegan Cocktail Selection features an exquisite range of attractive bite-sized vegan-friendly pieces.

The unique finger food assortment includes almond cream and edamame bean on pea and mint muffins, carrot, lemon and ginger mousseline mini tarts, sesame hummus and courgette tagliatelle on courgette and pine nut shortbread, sun-dried cherry tomato and olive tapenade on curry polenta cubes, guacamole and almond on walnut crackers, piquillo and sweet pepper tomato tarts, and falafel bites topped with sesame seeds.

Produced and hand-finished in France, the Tipiak ‘thaw and serve’ Vegan Cocktail Selection is available frozen exclusively via distributor Central Foods and complements Tipiak’s existing range of savoury canapés already available in the UK.

It brings together a superb range of top-quality flavours to create a selection that is perfect for bars, clubs, hotels and other outlets to serve as accompaniments to drinks any time of day, during Happy Hour, with aperitifs or as hors d’oeuvres at functions and events, or even as canapés at weddings, banquets, graduations and other occasions when these resume.

Each morsel teams together a stunning array of tastes, textures and colours in a range that’s sure to go down well with all customers, not just those who are looking for plant-based options. Simply defrost before serving for maximum convenience.

“The new Tipiak Vegan Cocktail Selection is a world first for us, bringing something unique to the table,” said Marie-Emmanuelle Chessé, international development project manager at Tipiak, which supplies frozen, authentic French sweet and savoury pâtisserie to the hospitality sector in the UK.

“The demand for vegan-friendly products in the food service sector and interest in plant-based items generally has grown enormously in the UK in recent times and we are delighted to be unveiling the Vegan Cocktail Selection to the UK food service sector. The selection has been especially developed by our chefs, bringing together the finest ingredients and flavours to create a truly exquisite explosion of plant-based colour and flavour that has to be eaten to be believed!”

The Tipiak Vegan Cocktail Selection is now available nationwide through frozen food wholesalers.

Tipiak has been supplying its authentic ‘thaw and serve’ canapés in the UK since 2009, building up an outstanding reputation amongst chefs for their stunning, hand-finished presentation and superb flavours.

The Vegan Cocktail Selection is packed on new gold-coloured cardboard trays, which are 100% recyclable. Composed of more than 50% cellulosic fibres, which come from plant cell walls and are biodegradable, the packaging is regarded as ‘paper-carton’ – meaning it is made of paper but not lined with plastic or aluminium, like traditional cartons.

Each Vegan Cocktail Selection box contains 36 individual pieces across seven different varieties. For maximum convenience, whilst still frozen, remove the canapés from their box and arrange on a platter, stand or serving tray. Leave for four hours in the refrigerator to defrost, plus 30 minutes at room temperature before serving.

Tipiak launches new Pop Macarons Fruits for UK foodservice

French pâtissier Tipiak has unveiled a new selection of exquisite pop macarons for the UK foodservice sector.

Featuring stunning fruit flavours, the eye-catching Pop Macarons Fruits are gluten free – currently the only gluten-free authentic French macarons available widescale to the UK hospitality sector.

Each mixed pack of pop macarons contains six bold fruit flavours in pastel shades, attractively decorated with contrasting fruit-flavoured lacing. The selection features the superb fruity flavours of blackcurrant, lemon-yuzu, morello cherry, coconut, passionfruit and apricot.

“Macarons have been a huge hit on social media in recent years – introducing a whole new generation to these authentic delights,” explains Charlotte Ganier, international development project manager at Tipiak, which supplies frozen, authentic French pâtisserie to the UK foodservice sector. “More than 5 million photos have been posted on Instagram alone.

“Macarons are now a must-serve ingredient on any afternoon tea menu, as well as being popular accompaniments to coffee or as a sweet buffet option. So versatile, macarons are also used as decorations or as key ingredients in desserts and freakshakes and can even be served as wedding favours.”

The new Pop Macarons Fruits join an existing range of Tipiak pâtisserie and macarons supplied frozen to the UK foodservice sector via distributor Central Foods.

Tipiak macarons have a significantly higher almond content than most other macarons in the marketplace, giving them a superb flavour, and making them less brittle and fragile, and less sweet. This is bang on trend for those consumers who are willing to pay a little bit more for a smaller, better quality, tastier and more enjoyable treat.

Gluten-free, with certification from the French Coeliac Association, the macarons are also suitable for vegetarians.

Tipiak’s new Pop Macarons Fruits are produced in France and are available frozen in packs of 36. Before serving, simply remove from the freezer, leave for one hour in the refrigerator, plus 15 minutes at room temperature.
